  • The recall affects items sold at Trader Joe’s, HelloFresh, Frederik’s by Meijer, Harris Teeter, and Fresh and Simple.

  • Distributed across 10 states: Texas, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Virginia.

🏷️ Products included

  • Trader Joe’s Roasted Tomato & Parmesan Focaccia (20+ lots; use‑by dates July 26–Oct 15).

  • HelloFresh Basil Pesto & Mozzarella Pizza (2,337 cases).

  • Additional focaccia products under Meijer and Fresh and Simple brands.

🔍 How the issue was found

  • Manufacturer Bakkavor discovered metal fragments traced back to a roasted tomato supplier.

🧾 Recall classification

  • FDA labeled it a Class II recall, meaning the products may cause temporary or medically reversible health effects.
